Q: How do I return a rug?
A: Please visit our "Return Policy" page to find out more about how to return a rug.

Q: Is natural fiber better then synthetic?
A: They are both good. Olefin or polypropylene is petroleum byproduct. It is solution dyed. The color goes into the material while it is in a liquid state. The color is locked inside the material. It is colorfast. It won’t run or bleed. This material is the most stain and fade resistant fiber that is available. There is no shedding or fuzzing. Spots and stains are easily removed with a wet sponge and a towel. You can steam clean the rug yourself or send it to a rug cleaner.

Brand new wool rugs tend to shed and fuzz. Wool rugs can fade and can be stained more easily than a synthetic. They are not always colorfast. Acid stains can loosen the dyes so the colors might run. Spills require immediate attention, as they will be more difficult to remove the longer they sit.

Q: What is a good rug?
A: Most area rugs are well done. Most of them last longer than the people that buy them. The parts that might require repair, after 10 years of normal use, are the fringe or the edges. What you are paying for is a particular “look”. A certain type might only be available in a more expensive hand knotted construction. However you might get that expensive “look” in a somewhat less expensive hand tufted construction or even a good machine made rug. Buy the rug that you want to look at for a long time. A cheap rug will probably last at least 10 years or more in residential use.
